New app in China connects prospective dads with US surrogates

The popular Chinese dating app Blued is offering a surrogacy service for gay men called Bluedbaby. The tool was created by former police officer Geng Le. Le became an icon in the Chinese LGBT community because of the success of Blued – which he created in 2012.

Bluedbaby was inspired by Geng Le’s journey toward parenthood. He became a father via surrogate who lived in California. Bluedbaby is part of a larger strategy of diversifying Blued into new business lines for the LGBT community.
