Lady Gaga launches ‘Born This Way’ foundation to help reduce bullying
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga, launched a new nonprofit, the Born This Way Foundation, aimed at combating childhood bullying, especially among young people who are GLBT. Gaga contributed $1.2 million, and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation donated $1 million. The Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard is a partner in the foundation. It was not immediately clear where the new foundation will be based.
