Daniel Radcliffe honored by LGBTQ outreach group

Daniel Radcliffe will receive The Trevor Project‘s annual Hero Award for 2011 this month. The actor will appear at the NYC gala to collect the prize and discuss his outreach to young gay people. The Project’s website says the group, “is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.” Amy Poehler, John Larroquette, Janeane Garofolo, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos will also appear at the event along with several other stars who are yet to be announced.
