UK: Catholic Church will not comply with ‘gay equality’ adoption law

The UK’s Daily Mail says the Roman Catholic Church is pulling out of three of its top adoption agencies because it cannot comply with new gay equality laws.

The Mail reports: “The Church argues its agencies cannot remain both Catholic and conform with the Sexual Orientation Regulations. The regulations, which aim to end discrimination against homosexuals by businesses, make it illegal for agencies to turn away same-sex couples who want to adopt or foster children. They were forced through Parliament last year in the face of opposition from religious leaders, who believe gay adoption is morally wrong.”
