I am a registered nurse who works in clinical trials (research). My partner is a Psychologist. We had been together for about seven years when we considered adopting. Two years ago, Harry, our now 13 year old son was placed with us. Harry is a wonderful boy who has been diagnosed with ADHD and PDD. Unfortunately, in the state of Ohio only one individual in a same-sex relationship can legally adopt. I am the legal parent, however we share parenting and both love Harry as much as humanly possible. We would love to adopt again, hopefully a younger child with possibly HIV or AIDS. Any child that needs a loving, stable home with loving parents would be great.
