Saige was born at 11:11 pm on Tueday December 1st, 2009. May water broke over a day before I went into labor. I gave birth after 5 hours of labor to our beautiful daughter on our bed into Tanner's hands. She was amazing and perfect and is everything I could have asked for. Her birth has completely changed my life.
I have a skinny kid. He’s 2 and perfectly healthy, but skinny. Mothers of butterballs look at me with a superior air and look at him with pity. I can almost hear them thinking, “If he was MY child, I would feed him. I could fatten him right up. What kind of mother doesn’t feed her baby?” Doctors, too look at his perfectly visible ribs and request intake charts. Each has been to surprised to see that he routinely takes in more calories than necessary to support continued growth. “He’s just skinny!” I persist.
Many parents who are considering storing their infant's cord blood, often wonder how long the cord blood can be saved before it starts to deteriorate. Banking cord blood is a new enough procedure that scientists don't have an answer to that question yet.
The data for cord blood involves specimens that have been frozen for 10-12 years. In those specimens, there seems to be no deterioration. This doesn't say that cord blood will not last longer, it just says that there has never been any research conducted on specimens that have been stored longer.
I believe that everyone, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, should have the right to have a child. I realize that there are many lesbians who would like to conceive a child but do not have a suitable sperm donor. I am willing to help. I have never done something like this before, but I want to give it a chance. I am a handsome white male, in his early thirties, healthy, never did drugs and never engaged in high risk sex. I am educated, very intelligent, and have a cheerful, respectful, and optimistic personality.
