The debate on a bill that would allow same sex couples to adopt children in New South Wales has started in Australia. There should be a vote of the Legislative Assembly sometime this week.

Surrogacy - A committee in India is writing a bill to govern assisted reproductive technology. This bill would exclude same sex couples from hiring surrogates in India, unless India legalizes same sex relationships.

Hello! I am back after a two week hiatus on my Friday Legal Updates, but it is summer so the wheels of justice turn slowly, as does legislation. Either way, here are today's updates for the last few weeks:
