Google takes care of it's gay employees

Google will begin covering a tax cost that gay and lesbian employees must pay when their partners receive domestic partner health benefits. This will compensate gay couples for an extra tax that heterosexual married couples do not pay. The increase will be retroactive to the beginning of the year.

The internet has been a boon for the infertility industry. Beyond just the ability to immediately disseminate information and educate people on the options available to those struggling with infertility, it brought about a sea change in how couples needing surrogates, egg and sperm donors were able to find their ideal counterpart.

Egg Donor Anonymity & Privacy & the Reality of the Google World

I spent the evening last night finally spending some time reviewing some fertility blogs and websites. I was actually surprised by some of the "promises" that were being made to egg donors in relation to their donation of their eggs to recipient parents. In fact, some claim that the information is shredded once a donation is over and/or their information is not released to other agencies or clinics. I am not really certain how that protects the privacy of the donors in all situations.
