It is a morality tale for our times. To the casual observer, they could have been the conventional Christmas festivities seen in any household – turkey and trimmings, excited children, doting parents and a huge pile of presents under the tree.
Surrogacy - Update on California Surrogacy Legislation - it has passed the Senate! By a 26-9 vote, we are on to the Governor's Desk, who has until September 30th to veto or sign. More updates to follow. Happy 4th of July to all!

Update on the German Twins born in India:
"The German twins born in 2008 to a surrogate in India are finally headed home. The last hurdle for the twins and their father Jan Balaz was cleared on Wednesday and with that the Supreme Court recommended that the central government enact legislation to take care of surrogacy issues so that something like this does not happen again. The vacation bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justices G.S. Singhvi and C.K. Prasad wished the family 'good luck'."

In 2007, my partner and I decided it was time to start a family. We are both very family oriented and were ready to take the next step most couples decide to take: kids.
We decided to look into open adoption, since so many children are in need of a family. Unfortunately, it was a very long process and we would consistently get to a certain point only for something to go wrong. In the end, adoption just wasn’t meant for us.

Growing Generations, the largest U.S.-based surrogacy agency, will be in London, England in March to perform consultations with prospective clients. The surrogacy and egg donation agency, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, and the Ohio Valley, has worked with 1250 clients from 28 countries and experienced a record number of 128 births in 2009 for families throughout the world.
