Surrogacy - A letter , signed by the consul general’s of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the Czech Republic, was sent to over ten Mumbai IVF clinics requesting that the clinics “desist from catering to their citizens” and “stressed the importance of directing nationals from their countries to their respective consulates before initiating the surrogacy process.” The letter asked the clinics to act immediately to avoid any legal or liability issues in the future.
