Surrogacy - I am shocked by the news out of Australia this week. Criminalizing surrogacy? Yes, that is the case - the claim is that they are protecting the best interests of the children and protecting women from exploitation. Apparently, there is an agenda by those who had proposed this legislation, and I am outraged, just as I am with those claiming to be protecting women in the film, Eggspolitation, while actually pushing their own religious right agenda - what say you?

Israel/India-Dan Goldberg is still stuck in India waiting to bring his twins boys back home to Israel. Goldberg’s story is quickly gaining the support of many back home in Israel, including members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, who held a spot protest to urge the members of the Ministry of Interiors to speed up the process of granting citizenship for the twins, and Yonatan Gher, who, like Goldberg, had a baby through surrogacy in 2008.

There are several interesting things going on in India relating to surrogacy these days. While we are not against going to India for surrogacy, please do your research and keep yourself informed of the ever changing surrogacy landscape that exists before you choose a surrogate in India.
