Surrogacy, Embryo Donation, & Dr. Phil - well, it has been a slow week for news, but again the legislation that is being considered in Tennessee and Oklahoma should cause us all to pause - patients and industry professionals alike. TGIF!
South Africa is the top spot for egg donation - for beautiful and well screened egg donors, willing to give of themselves to people all over the world.
Egg donation costs are reasonable and affordable and easily accessable.
Access to extensive egg donor profiles is available at the click of a button.
Working with a reputable egg donor agency, one of the first egg donation agencies, certainly the first one in Johannnesburg, in operation since 2007. But with online egg donation, it really does not matter where the actual egg donation agency is positioned.
South African surrogacy and South African egg donation programs have modified to the point where there is no waiting period for egg donors and no waiting period for a surrogate mother.
This is a significant benefit for people needing to proceed on a surrogacy program or egg donation program. It is imperative to realise that once people need to consider third parties to have a family, it is imperative that they receive the most professional and caring treatment from their appointed egg donation and surrogacy agency.
Egg Dontion and Surrogacy - these are becoming new popular ways to become pregnant. It is difficult. It is emotional and it is expensive, but it provides hope and it can result in a family. Surrogacy programs is when a surrogate mother carries a baby for some one else.
Surrogacy programs are optimal when there is a clear understanding between commissioning parent and surrogate. Although profiles of both parties may be perfect on paper, there needs to be a alignment and consensus about the nature of the relationship, including how the entire surrogacy relationship will prevail.
German Surrogate Twins born in India may finally be able to go home with both of their parents, of which one parent has had to remain in India for almost two years. Ladies and gentleman, this is a cautionary tale of a couple wanting to be parents so badly that proper legal advice was not obtained beforehand. You MUST check the laws of where you child is being born AND where you reside. You cannot and should be taking advice from centers who tell you that things will work out - they have in the past.
India Surrogacy & German Twins - the twins born to a surrogate in India approximately two years ago have hit another legal hurdle. The Indian courts had requested that the German government grant the children temporary visas so that the couple can finally go home from India with their children. However, news reports now state that Germany has rejected the parents' bid for the visas. The German government stated that their only real option was to adopt the twins. A cautionary tale for all when thinking about reproductive tourism.
Surrogacy, Surrogacy, Surrogacy - good morning and a shout out to my friend and colleague, Melissa Brisman, for her spot today on Good Morning America regarding the Michigan twins that were handed over to their gestational surrogate. The parents call it "legal kidnapping." What do you think? I think that this is a sad loophole in the law that needs to be fixed since she is a gestational surrogate. By the way, I think that the facts show that the parents were found fit with a home study.
