How do you want to vacation? A new website specifically for lesbian travelers offers some direction.

Frustrated with a lack of resources available to lesbian travelers, Tanya Churchmuch created an online resource offering "lesbian-centric" interactive tools - to assist women in their travels.

Her new service is called Girlports. The site offers listings for destinations around the world - including bars, social groups, and restaurants.

Tanya says,

"It's so annoying for lesbians looking for easily accessible, up-to-date travel information written just for them, especially free travel information. Many websites sell themselves as providing resources for the LGBT traveler, but unfortunately, the "G" always seems to win out. I figured if nobody else was going to create the resource I wanted, I'd have to do it myself."

Girlports offers a unique travel planner called the Girlports Passport. This Passport helps you keep track of listings you're interested in and has a mapping feature. The Passport can be printed, sent via email, and as of December 1, 2007, accessed via mobile phone.
