It's been a few weeks since we opened the doors to ProudParenting.com.
Proud Parenting is yours. Tell me what you'd like and we'll work together on the possibilities.
We'll make a few changes during our next phase of development - mostly small stuff that you may not notice. To help us plan for the next phase, I'm asking for your general feedback about Proud Parenting.
Post your comments about PP on this blog.
Thanks,
Jeff
Queerspawn need better profile options.
The field for parenting status includes the option "I have gay/lesbian parent(s)." It's really great that you have included that option, which sends a message to queerspawn that they are welcome to participate on this site.
However, the location of the option limits the visibility of adult children of LGBT parents. It requires queerspawn who are also parents to pick either identifying with their children OR with their queer family of origin -- but they cannot select BOTH. If they pick "proud parent" they are by default implying that they came from a heteronormative family of origin. If they chose "have gay/lesbian parent(s)" they lose the option to be a "proud parent."
The "have gay/lesbian parent(s)" option should be separate from parenting status; perhaps an extra box to check.

Hi
Thanks for this website!
I like the "Moms" section. Seems like you have a wide-range of topics in there.
I'm a divorced lesbian mom, and I can't find any information online about people like me. Can you find any info/support for lesbians who had babies with their husbands?
