'As I Grow' is a DVD series that parents can feel good about

Ilham Algayed, MD - Founder and Creator of Egghead Learning Systems - recently wrote to us with this disturbing statistic, and told us how she created a DVD series developmentally appropriate for young children.

The Egghead Learning Systems “As I Grow” DVD series is based on how brain development and learning take place. It's something that parents could feel good about their children watching.

Dr. Algayed explains her direction behind the series, "To help me in selecting the content for the series, I recruited a team of experts in the fields of child development, child psychology, speech development, early childhood education, and music theory. Together, we designed the “As I Grow” 6-stage series specifically for infants and young children up to 18 months of age because we believe in the importance of building a solid foundation for learning even before words are spoken."

As I Grow series consists of 6 DVDs, each geared to a 3-month period within those first 18 months. Each DVD covers a variety of topics such as sounds, emotions, colors and shapes because young children are learning a little at time about a lot of things.
