Lesbian couple featured in J.C. Penney catalog

J.C. Penney's new catalog includes a photo depicting a smiling lesbian couple with their arms wrapped around one another and their daughter. Both women are wearing wedding bands, and text running across the photo reads: “freedom of expression.” A photo like this from a major retailer is a positive, forward-thinking statement. The Mommy Files' Amy Graff says, "By showing a same-sex couple, J.C. Penney is challenging our narrow-minded culture that often only recognizes male-female couples."
