In response to the recent African repression and proposed Ugandan legislation criminalizing Same Gender Loving behavior by death, Harold Washington Pride Club has invited Pulitzer Nominated Author, Noted Columnist and Human Rights Activist Terry Angel Mason to speak on "A Matter of Global Survival" as viewed from the LGBT Perspective! Terry Angel Mason is intimately acquainted with the issues and challenges impacting the LGBT community. He embraces a unique style of activism that blends passion with diplomacy, love for civil rights with moral relevancy and political insight with spiritual truth. Terry Angel Mason has the ability to frame the needs and concerns of the LGBT community in a simple and succinct way. Mason eschews raucous rhetoric and strident hyperbole and instead offers a refreshingly personal and conciliatory perspective which is why he is a much sought after speaker and author. Mr. Mason will share excerpts and stories from his Pulitzer Prize Nominated book Love Won't Let Me Be Silent and his newly released offering They Say I am Broken! He will also answer questions concerning LGBT issues and his books after his lecture.
