As you can tell by this blog, all of my blog entries, that this is a very one sided story of our attempts of at home self-insemination. What you are reading only comes from me, the partner, the other half, NOT EVEN THE GOOD HALF. -ha ha the better half, that's not what I mean, I am not the one carrying, I am not the one with the hormones, and with the womanly side of the story.
Yes this is a journey that we are in together, but Doll has to do all the real work.
She's the real woman, who will bare child, she is the maternal one, she is the one who has to take on risk, she is the one who will act against the norm of our society and make herself crazy over some "clock" that if you had asked me a before I met her 6 years ago would have argued its very existence.
Then today Doll today told me this is her story, and that if anybody is reading and enjoying this story that that is cool, making her cool, and me only cool by default.
I say its our story and I am the one writing it, putting it all out there, and that makes me the one that's cool and she, by default.
But I really thought we were in this together!
What do you think?
I think shes messing with me.
Of course she says this in jest but I say what if we humor her for today, just in case she actually reads this.
I can minimize my roll in the story, not share the details of my personal life that don't belong in such a category, like my getting a shot in the ass, or reminiscing of old times back home, or my being a child for the remainder of this post.
I can make this post entirely about the real hero.
I have noticed a lot of posts on this topic in the past few days, AWESOME!!
Love you all, pleased to meet you! Congrats, and best of luck, share and keep sharing with the rest of the class.
When I first found this website I knew it had a lot going for it in general, but lack of conversation, a few blogs here and there on this particular topic and that general article on "Insemination". (Maybe they graduated this topic and they moved onto the "Moms" topic?)
But I was pulled here, like knowing there are other woman out there doing what we are doing but they are just being quite for the moment. They are also trying, but maybe they don't have any of these questions? Or maybe they don't have a need for meeting place.
But regardless where they are all hiding I knew they were out there and just as powerful and courageous as my Doll. Maybe not masses of us but we are strong enough woman (and men) to stand up at roll call.
Willing to say screw you Pennsylvania Avenue, we ARE the woman of this country, we ARE going to do as we planned, we will have a white wedding, and we will have a family just as WE dreamed of as a child.
We shouldn't have to dream as adults, as adults we make conscious decisions and do. And we are not going wait around until the majority says its OK, it's "OK" to raise a child in a family with a same sex couple, its "OK" if we offer the same rights as we would ANY OTHER American Family and finally, we are not second class citizens, we are the men and woman of this country and being just that, we don't wait to be given our rights, we take them, like our forefathers before us.
So, in conclusion of this blog entry not solely based on me, but on the "Hero" I embrace all of you the men and woman that come out to this website, that are open with us, and I am looking forward to your stories, your questions, and your comments.
I am pleased to meet you, and I thank every last one of you.

Solidarity!!!
:)
I'm so glad I found this site. The support has been so nice. On top of not knowing anyone that has gone through same-sex insemination (or even parenting, for that matter), we have decided not to tell any friends or family that we are trying, and, if we succeed, not inform anyone until after the first trimester. As someone who needs to share her life with people, this site is going to be a life-saver for me!
baby, you are my hero.
