My partner, April, and I have gone through all of the medical steps towards insemination. We are now questioning our legal responsibilities to one another and the baby. I am seeking any help or advice for second parent adoption. We live in Georgia, and I have been unable to find a local lawyer that is well versed on same sex laws. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Looks like your answer is quite unclear.
Finding the lgbt family practice lawyer is going to be the hardest part.
Try asking around with local orginization or group such as the one below.

rainbowlaw.com is a helpful website for generic documents. They also have a family package that's quite reasonable.

To Moms to be
However, I am a strait woman, my aunt raised me who is gay. So, I'm really geared toward your cause. My aunt and her lover had a child through a donor, and since have seperated, what they did was have a lawyer draw up 1- a Will, 2- a parental contract, and 3- a pre-nump. We live in Georgia and I think the same rules apply as where you are. When they seperated they had their contracts and so forth to fall back on, what they agreed to and so forth. There isn't much legally you can do as far as filling child support etc...but from what I know and have been raised around there is no Gay man or woman that will not take care of their kid. NOT TO WORRY! Hope this helps!
