The New York Post reports that competition for young Web users is like, extreme.
Chief among the competition is the new kids-themed Internet browser - called Kidzui. It was released this week.
"Billing itself as the Internet for kids, Kidzui will charge $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year and enable children aged 3 to 12 to view a collection of 500,000 curated videos, websites and pictures - all reviewed by 200 trained parents and teachers."
Kidzui joins pay sites like Club Penguin and ShrekBrowser.com.
Some experts believe charging to use the browser could prove to be a bad business decision, even if it plays into parents' safety concerns.
Meanwhile, free educational sites - including Noggin.com, PBSKids.org, and Starfall.com - exist.
