Visitaion rights

I am the proud step mom of a beautiful 8 year old boy. My partners ex has recently married a very controlling man that is determined to "control" all aspects of the ex and my step son. He "controls" when how and where we see him, he has even started sending us Rules that must be followed in OUR home when we have my step son. My wife and her ex (shes the biological mom) raised this little boy for 8 years, the last 2 have been in a co parenting setting , since the arrival of the new husband EVERYTHING has changed.. We are desperatley seeking any help we can be given on what we can do to retain visitation with him. We have in the past week been warned that if we do not adhere to what we are told that they have control over who is allowed to see my step son... We reside in AL and they now reside in TN... Please if you have any ideas HELP .. We are desperate....
