Thanks for the reply!

So I started to get discouraged with the whole idea that their would be someone that related to my situation as I would check proud parenting everyday after the posting that I place and would only have readers and no comments. Thank you so much for replying! I laugh at the time you sent it as it is about the time that I seem to have for myself...

We would love to meet up for whatever time and event you would be up to do. Our daughter just turned 16 months today. Her name is Natalie Jordan. I have her enrolled at Gymboree in Westchester at the Bridge where we go once a week. We take a stroll on the Strand every other day at Hermosa or Manhattan Beach. She still takes her 2 naps in the daytime (usually around 10 & 3pm). Not knowing your sons schedule, I am not sure when would be a good time to meet up. Let me know what works for you... By the way, my name is Rick and my partners name is Mike-

Anxiously awaiting your reply...

I'm not sure if you will get the message I sent prior to joining so I'm sending you one now that I've officially joined Proud Parenting. I figure this way you will be able to respond to us directly if you like.
My partner, myself and our 13 month old son live in So CA, not far from Hermosa.
I am not a stay at home dad (yet, number two is due in December) but I took a leave of absence from work and spent the first five months of our son's life with him. I can completely relate to what you are talking about in your blog as I am the primary caregiver in our household. I love, love, love my time with our son but, at times, it can be very isolating.
I am a teacher and, luckily, have summers off, as well as quite a few holidays and extended breaks. We would certainly be up for play dates, afternoon strolls, playing at the park, etc.

Hi ... My partner and I live in Playa Del Rey with our 13 month old son. I am the primary care giver of our son. I'm not a stay at home dad (yet ... we have another baby due in December) but I am a teacher with summers off and plenty of holidays. I completely understand how you feel ... I love, love, love my special time with our son but it can be very isolating at times.
My son and I would be up for a playdate, beach afternoon, etc.

Meet up groups near Hermosa Beach

My 15 month old daughter and I were taking our usual stroll on the strand this morning, something we do regularly and I began to feel lonely. It was a sensation I hadn't felt before. Since the arrival of our daughter, it was always known that I would be the stay home dad which I have always felt privledged and thankful for being able to care and raise our child. I guess I started to notice small group of women with their children doing activities, meeting for lunch or simple playing in the park.
