It had been two weeks since my surrogate mom got the positive result from her pregnancy blood test. Her hCG level was more than triple the average, so we were very concerned about the possibility of having triplets. Since then, I'd had the mixed emotions of joy and fear, thinking of the complications associated with the multiple pregnancies (selective reductions and all that).
