We want to let everyone know that we are now pregnant! We are so excited! In February my ovulation cycle and a weekend, we could travel 16 hours to the donor, coincided and so we gave it our best shot. We are so grateful that we only had to make that very long trip twice. We are due in mid November..on my birthday! We'll confirm everything in the next couple days, so far so good :D

Well, our first try at home insemination did not take. I thought for sure that it had.

We have a couple weeks to prepare for the next trip and then we'll try again. Hopefully that will work :) and I am hopeful that it will.

This last week my wife and I traveled to outside of San Fran to attempt our first home insemination. We enlisted the help of a family friend who was very gracious in an otherwise supremely awkward situation. We were able to try 3 times though I think twice would have been better. We want to wait until my period is overdue by 3 days until we take a pg test, that will mean that we'll test on Thanksgiving morning if we don't know otherwise before then.

Our daughter is now 18 months, we're getting older, and I am so baby hungry! We are stepping up our efforts to find a sperm donor.

We have asked 3 friends. Unfortunately they all live out of state and it would be quite expensive to get us together, not to mention it might take a few times until we become pregnant.

We have looked into 2 sperm banks. One we can travel a day and get to so that will save on some expense. The other is also out of state with those subsequent hassles.
