According to a news source:

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are the most trusted celebrity babysitters. That's the opinion of most of the American women who participated in a recent online poll.
DeGeneres and de Rossi, who married in California, have topped the poll, which asked Americans which celebrities they would feel most comfortable leaving their kids with.
More than 10,000 moms participated in the poll, and chose the openly lesbian couple as their most trusted celebrity babysitter.
DeGeneres and de Rossi, who have no children, won the poll after beating out Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt.

The AP reports that the Washington D.C. City Council voted to recognize same-sex marriages from states that approve them, a step that The Huffington Post believes could propel the sensitive issue into Congress and draw Democrats into a "culture-war" battle with each other.
The city council vote is considered the first step toward eventually allowing gay marriages to be performed in Washington. Congress, which has final say over the city's laws, has 30 days to review the bill, assuming Democratic Mayor Adrian Fenty, a supporter, signs it.
So, there's this old pervert in the swamps of Lake Okeechobee, Florida who thinks that Gay and Straight Alliances - in high schools - are hook-up spots for sex. Like "sex clubs".
Attorney for a local school district, David Gibbs, says that Florida law requires schools to teach abstinence, "while teaching the benefits of monogamous heterosexual marriage."
He's implying that sex - not abstinence - occurs at the GSA meetings!
