Well, been a long time since I have updated. Been very busy with work and searching for children.

We received a call Wednesday from our worker and there is a 15 yr old boy in Houston that is intrested in being our son. The week of October 12 we are to have a conference with the current foster parents, the child's worker, and our worker. This is the next step and very big for us. We have been the thank you we have a first choice family, but if that does not work out we might be in touch.

We got our Foster care license and our home study was approved. We now get to work on inquiring about children available for adoption. Another chapter closed and opened for us and I hope we ahve children soon. Our life will turn upside down I know, but we are so ready for the changes.

So we got our Homestudy on Friday and another offer to take a child that is not inserted in being adopted, has gender disporia, and would rather age out of the system. I wish they would not ask us about kids who do not want to be adopted, we are not looking to be foster parents, but adoptive parents.

On the homestudy front, we made some edits and sent it back. It is funny how one thinks that things are clear, but they get interpreted differently.

All the same, we are on our way to being able to inquire about children. I really would like it to be soon, soon, soon!

Well we met our newest caseworker today. We also gave over our list of kids in TX that we want to inquire upon. We also should be getting our foster care license week after next. Our Home Study should be done next week and we will get to review it. All thsi work to wait yet again! Such is the truth, "success is waiting". Most fruitful work has a great deal of waiting.

My husband and I have been training for the past year to be certified foster parents in Texas. We are done with all of that work/training. We built a new house and furnushed two rooms for two great kids. We hope to get a pair of brothers so we can round out our family.
