The Trevor Project sends 100 copies of gay-themed book to Karen Pence’s school

The Trevor Project, an organization focused on suicide prevention among LGBTQ youth, has sent 100 copies of A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo to the school where Karen Pence, wife of Mike Pence, teaches. Immanuel Christian School bans LGBTQ students and faculty.

A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo began as a parody of Marlon Bundo’s Day in the Life of the Vice President, a book written by Mike Pence’s daughter Charlotte and illustrated by Karen Pence. TV host John Oliver promoted the parody as a means of combatting Pence’s long history of homophobia.

Whereas Pence’s book details life in the Trump White House as witnessed by a rabbit, the parody features a gay rabbit falling in love. All proceeds from A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo go to The Trevor Project and AIDS United.
