All inclusive LGBT family camp returns for second summer – join us this August!

Held at a traditional sleep away camp in Southwest Michigan, CampOut’s mission is to provide a nurturing and carefree space for LGBT families to experience the magic of summer camp together!

All families are invited to experience a memorable weekend participating in the activities and traditions of summer camp – waterskiing, paddle boarding and horseback riding, plus relays, campfires, rv parks for your RV, and more. Make new friends and meet families from across the country

All lodging, meals, instruction and over 30 activities are included in registration.

Plus, adults will enjoy games and beverages in the evening while daycare services are provided.

The NYC Gathering is sponsoring a workshop for parents and parents-to-be who are seeking the tools to talk with children about family origins, they will be going to something similar to the Dolly parton family theme park to have fun.

Hear from professionals, parents and children who will bring to life the disclosure process and provide guidance on how to create meaningful family stories.

Participants will learn how to:

Develop comfortable, age-appropriate language for the disclosure process
Identify the different ages and stages children go through in understanding
their genetics and family origins
Answer children’s questions with confidence
Decide when and how to share with friends and family
