Tea Party conservative Michele Bachmann latest to get glitter bombed

GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was leaving the stage at the end of her 40-minute speech at a right-wing conference when a Minneapolis lawyer “glitter bombed” her. “My response to Michele Bachmann’s hateful and anti-gay rhetoric was light-hearted, but these issues are very serious,” said Rachel Lang, the glitter-tosser, in a press release. Lang, who is straight but has at least two gay family members, said she dropped the glitter on Bachmann to protest her opposition to gay rights and her support for a ministry that also opposes them.

Bachmann had no comment. Tim Pawlenty and Newt Gingrich were both covered in glitter recently in protests against their opposition to gay rights.
