Apple removes Christian app over homophobic stance

Apple is supporting its GLBT followers by removing an iPhone application that speaks against same-sex marriage and abortion. The company received 8,000 signatures on a petition which convinced Apple that the app insulted a large portion of its customers.

Newlaunches.com says, “It’s not often that we see an App with 4+ rating being pulled off the App Store“.

The app sent users through a four-step survey in which answers that reflect support of gay rights or abortion rights earn a failing score. A petition on Change.org, urging Apple CEO Steve Jobs to remove the “hate fest,” garnered more than 7,700 signatures.
