Florida’s Gov. Crist considers ways to end 33-year-old adoption ban

Gov. Charlie Crist (pictured) reaffirmed to reporters that he opposes Florida’s anti-gay adoption ban and would consider all of his options, including a review of the current lawsuit in which the state is defending the bigoted law. This latest announcement comes just days after the Governor released a position paper that covered a wide range of topics that impact the GLBT community including calls for: an end to Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, passage of the Uniting American Families Act and an end to anti-gay adoption laws, among others. Crist’s positions on GLBT issues represent the most comperehensive pro-gay equality stand of a sitting governor in Florida’s history.
