Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon: The kids are fine with my lesbian relationship.

OK! Magazine updates fans about Cynthia Nixon in its latest issue. The Emmy-winning actress recently attended a press junket, and talked about her big movie – opening nationwide May 30th. She also discussed her family life, which includes partner of four years, Christine Marinoni.

OK! writes:

The SATC star told reporters, “I’m in a fantastic relationship,” she continued, “We shop and cook and raise children…We both pitch in.” Much like in SATC, Cynthia and her partner (pictured) raise her two kids Samantha, 11, and Charles, 6, in Brooklyn.

“I’m in love with her [Christine] because she’s her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don’t know.”

Nixon says her children adapted well to the new arrangement.

“They were fine,” she says of the coming out. “My son was very little [when it happened], but my daughter has a gay uncle [and her godmothers] are lesbians.”

Cynthia met the father of her children in junior high school and they were partners from 1988 to 2003.
