Gay flamingos adopt. Happy family is doing well.

May 26, 2007 By Community Editor

A gay couple in Britain are celebrating their fifth anniversary together with their adopted babies at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Gloucestershire. The couple happen to be flamingos.

The pair surprised staff at the wildlife park after they came out five years ago and began to engage in a series of complex mating rituals. The birds have been inseparable ever since and even raised three other chicks together. The two dads “adopted” their other chicks after the couple stole eggs from neighbouring straight couples.
